From Source to Your Door: How We Sort, Process and Document Every Batch in Zhangshu
Wholesale buyers need to know exactly where their herbs come from and how quality is controlled. This is our sourcing, sorting and documentation process, step by step.
Step 1 — Sourcing. Raw materials are selected from authentic growing regions across China; we work directly with trusted processors in Zhangshu we have known for years. No layers of middlemen: the herbs we export are the same herbs these families have supplied to local pharmaceutical companies.
Step 2 — Sorting and grading. Every batch is sorted and graded by hand to remove foreign matter and off-grade pieces. Standards follow both the Chinese Pharmacopoeia and common export limits for the destination market.
Step 3 — Laboratory testing (on request). If your order requires third-party testing, a sample is sent to an independent laboratory before shipment. Typical scope: sulfur dioxide (SO₂), pesticide residues, heavy metals (lead, cadmium, arsenic, mercury) and moisture content. Scope and limits are confirmed with you in advance.
Step 4 — Documentation. Each shipment is prepared with its export documentation (phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin where applicable). If testing was arranged, the test report is provided with the goods.
Tell us your destination market and we will confirm which tests and limits apply. If your order requires third-party testing, we arrange it with the sample before shipment and provide the report with the goods.
